The 2027 ABI Summer Schedule is out and we are excited about the upcoming season. The team will not compete in every tournament but these are the ones available to us. If you are a dedicated parent, seeking a long term team for your son, contact us.
We are recruiting 5th Grade boys and dedicated parents to join ABI's Select Team. This is ABI's only competitive team the entire program is designed to provide the players with every opportunity to excel. If you want your son to play middle school basketball and beyond, so do I. Contact me.
The History and Evolution of ABI's Select Team
Foundation: September 2024 – June 2025
In March 2025, the boys competed for the first time, posting scores of 25-3, 18-4, and 20-6. They needed more practice.
They trained three days a week and returned to the court in June 2025. The Select team won the Panhandle Basketball Port City Classic, by rallying from a 10-point deficit in the championship game to take home the title. They closed the summer season 6–4 with one championship trophy.
City League Success: December 2025
In 2025, five ABI players took their new skills into their local city leagues.
By the end of the city league season, Jonny, Finn, and Conner had each captured league championships in Orange Beach and Foley. Skylar earned a second place finish in Robertsdale and Cade 3rd in Spanish Fort.
Measurable Progress: Spring & Summer 2026
At the Spring Break Bash in April 2026, the team demonstrated remarkable growth. Rather than dropping three straight games like last year, the players secure a 2nd-place finish in the first competition of the Summer season.
At ABI, we compete not just to win, but to evaluate, refine, and grow. High performance is simply the byproduct of that process.
ABI wrapped up the summer with 13–7 record, earning three silver medals and one bronze.
